Our chef: Sébastien Richard
Sébastien Richard, renowned for his inventive and refined approach to cuisine, was the chef of the La Table restaurant at SIAL Paris 2024.
A native of Provence, he developed a passion for local produce from an early age. After working in a number of prestigious establishments, he quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the most respected chefs of his generation.
Sébastien began his career in 1988, working with Michelin-starred chefs. In 1998, he and his wife bought their first restaurant: Les Deux Toques in Istres, which later became La Table de Sébastien. In 2010, he was awarded his first Michelin star. And he became the private chef at the Table du Président de CMA-CGM in Marseille.
Committed to serving people, in February 2022 he opened Le République, the first restaurant for everyone in France, in Marseille. The aim of this restaurant is to promote social diversity and the integration of disadvantaged people. Supported by the association La Petite Lili, it offers creative cuisine and welcomes guests from different backgrounds around the same table. In spring 2024, the République concept was exported, and a new solidarity restaurant was opened in Paris.
